What is JOSAA/CSAB?
After qualifying JEE Main or JEE Advanced, students must participate in the JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) or CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board) counselling process to secure seats in IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs.
The process involves online registration, choice filling, seat allotment, document verification, and reporting — spread across several rounds. While JoSAA handles the main counselling for IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs, CSAB conducts special and spot rounds to fill leftover seats after JoSAA concludes.
